Eating on the road

On the road in France, stopping on the highway to get lunch.
What a selection, at the the store. We go into a 7 eleven type place.
Everything you can imagine for a great picnic in minutes.

what shall I chose?

let me get a closer look at the ingredients

biscuits or cookies of every flavor

Tomatoes, Quiche, dessert.

Or should I take a baguette?

ok what about a slice of apple tart or a nice yogurt dessert?

juice and water in every color, candy and chocolates of every description.
and coffee tea from the machines.
plus all the travel stuff you need.

Big lovely bathrooms.
I love this shop. Eat on the bench outside and we are off.

French country lunch

Just back from France, after enjoying good simple food
like this country lunch in the Touraine, Rabbit pate with Vouvray bought in Vouvray , the day before, Pork Chops, with a Rose, and goat cheese, my favorite with the sweetest strawberries.
Time to lie under the sun and soak up that giant sky.

See the food

We visited the Crab Cooker - only real crab place in the Bay Area. They say.
It was fun. Casual, with excellent food!
We had the coconut shrimp to start. Very big juicy shrimp with a thin crust.
Yummy lobster sandwich and a delicious lobster club
Another feast to delight the eye and stomach!

Mulberries

My neighbor has a Mulberry tree - lovely luscious and sweet. The most delicious taste in the world when the mulberries are picked and eaten straight off the tree. And it stains your hands and lips.

Lavender and lunch

What a visual delight to eat at Tootsies. Felt like we were miles away from the daily treadmill.
A cloud of purple lavender, tasty sandwiches, hot tea and donuts.......yum.
